CM Kettle’s 2024 Transportation Levy amendment and support for the Magnolia Bridge SDOT study

CM Kettle submits an amendment to the 2024 Transportation Levy for the Magnolia Trail Project and an SDOT study of the Magnolia Bridge.

“This past Tuesday was our Select Transportation Committee on the 2024 Transportation Levy. This committee acted as the deadline for all Councilmembers to submit their amendments to the 2024 Transportation Levy, and I asked SDOT to include a potential emergency access route on the Marina trail in the 2024 Transportation Levy resolution:

“The Magnolia Bridge Replacement Alternatives Cost Estimate updates in the Project Readiness category, SDOT should evaluate emergency access routes, including a potential connection from W Galer St to W Marina Pl.”

I’m working with Councilmember Strauss to move forward on the Magnolia Bridge. In the 2024 Transportation Levy draft, there is also a segment of funds set aside for an SDOT study of the Magnolia Bridge to get us to the final project of replacing the Magnolia Bridge.”
