Know Your Neighbors Before You Need Your Neighbors
Join Magnolia’s Looped In! We’ll looking for neighbors to help 8-10 households stay connected.
What Being a Loop Leader Actually Involves
Collect contact info from the households in your group (text, email, paper list- your choice!)
Share your own contact info with the Magnolia Captain, so your group is in the loop
Pass along occasional updates (outages, safety alerts, bridge closures, no spam) when they come through
That's it. No meetings to run, no events required, no huge time commitment
Want an easy way to get your loop started? Gather your neighbors for Night Out Seattle on August 4th!
What It Isn’t
This isn't a leadership position with responsibilities piling up. It isn't a surveillance role. You're not reporting on your neighbors. You're just the connective tissue that makes sure your immediate neighbors hear things when it matters.
As a Loop Leader, the only information you share beyond your own group is your own contact info, passed to the Magnolia Captain so your loop can be reached. Your neighbors' information stays with you, not with any city database or police list.
